As to (1), Putnam will be ready for the arrival for the Brethren who are to witness the survey of their lands; as to (2), Putnam explains the reasons why the boats fail to arrive on time: ice in the river and possible failure of the mail's being delievered to the boats on time. He suggests remedies for the latter. |
