Title: Rufus Putnam draft letter to Henry Knox

Description: In this letter, written at Pittsburgh, Rufus Putnam gives Henry Knox, Secretary of War, an account of current contacts of Captain Jeffers, a scout, with the "Munsey" and "Sennaka" Indians, and his (Putnam's) plan to send a speech to the hostile Indians whom he expects to encounter in negotiating a treaty. He also warns against the advisability of an attack on the Sandusky Indian towns.
