| dc.description | William R. Putnam, born in Connecticut, son of Rufus Putnam, studied for the ministry, but because of poor health, turned to farming and surveying. At a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Ohio Company of Associates on 17 November, 1794, he was appointed a surveyor for the Company. This document appears to be field notes of a resurvey of certain range lines in the Ohio Company's purchase, as well as a correction of the original survey of ranges 12 and 13. | en_US |
