| dc.description |
Putnam requests that the Indians at Post Vincennes, with whom he concluded a treaty on September 27, ask the Miamis, the Delawares, the Shawnees, and other tribes, to speak with the United States about peace. Putnam will pay for the journey of the chiefs of the tribes to Philadelphia to meet with the great chief, General Washington. A note on page 3 from William Wells to Samuel Wells states that he is well and has nothing else to report. |
