Title: Rufus Putnam letter to Griffin Greene

Description: Writing from New York, Putnam reports that the Ohio Company's petition to Congress for a reduction in the price of their lands will not be presented until Congress decides on a price for western lands. As soon as "their business" is over, Putnam will set out for Marietta. Advises all there to raise corn and "provision" for "a large number of peope are expected out" in the course of the summer.
