| dc.description |
Pickering is much obliged by Putnam's attention to the Ohio mail. He will arrange to have the boat crews paid by Return Jonathan Meigs, Jr., postmaster at Marietta (Ohio), as Putnam suggests. When there is peace with the Indians north of the Ohio he believes the mail may be carried more cheaply by land. |
