Putnam, writing from Marietta, reports that "we have had no assistance but from our own people till the midle [sic] of July," but only one man since the death of Capt. Rogers has been killed and one taken prisoner. A number of houses and upwards of fifty cattle have been lost. There is a propspect of sufficient corn for the coming years. |
