| dc.description |
Putnam, writing from Fort Washington, gives Henry Knox, the Secretary of War, an account of the recent hostile Indian activities in the vicinity of Fort Jefferson. He believes that the Indians thought he was at the Fort and intended to murder him, but he remains convinced that a treaty may still be effected. |
