This document, dated at Adelphi (later Marietta), 15 May 1788, appears to have accompanied a lost plat of the proposed city that showed streets, squares, and 8-acre lots numbered one to 282. Also, a plan of section 24 in Township one, Range 9, of 8-acre lots numbered 488 to 654. On the back of the single sheet is a note: "A Plan of . . . Lots in Township No. 3 of the 8th Range . . . , and Townships No. 3 and 4 in the 9th Range . . . With 8 acre Lots Delineated . . . from 203 to 487 and 655 to 1000." |
