Ebenezer Sproat, veteran of the Revolution and owner of two shares in the Ohio Company of Associates, arrived in Marietta, Ohio, with the first party of settlers in 1788. Until 1791, he was a surveyor for the Company, and at the same time was sheriff of Washington County. This book of field notes records surveys the north and west boundaries of townships 6 and 7 in federal survey range 13. |
