Description: This document records the sale of rights to military bounty land awarded for service in the American Revolution. In this record, Timothy Dexter is selling the rights he purchased from William Poor, Oliver Lunt, John Stockman, Samuel Foot, Lemuel Smith, and William Harriman. The purchasers were potential investors in the Ohio Company. In 1792 the Ohio Company used military bounty land warrants as partial payment for its second purchase.
