Description: Letter, written at Philadelphia, refers to a Senate hearing concerning an Ohio Company petition; "our prospect of obtaining anything is not very flattering." The Postmaster General suggests discontinuence of mail down the Ohio because of the great expense. "I can say nothing . . . about the sale of our Land." Comments on the transfer of land "from Duer to Craige and from Craige to me [Tallmadge]."
